Nuura Miira 1 Light Pendant - Brass & Optic Clear Glass

Miira 1 strips the collection back to its simplest form, one hand blown glass globe on a slim metal stem, with nothing added to distract from the shape. It's a quiet, confident pendant that can stand alone or be grouped together in twos or threes.

Brass finish and optic clear glass

Here, a brass finished stem holds an optic clear glass globe, marked with a fine embossed texture that catches the light rather than diffusing it flat. The result is a livelier, more sparkling point of light than the opal version, with the brass adding a subtle warmth to the metalwork.

How it works

This pendant takes a single G9 lamp (7W). The globe is around 14cm in diameter, with the fitting standing roughly 34.5cm from stem to base of glass, and cable enough to hang at a drop of up to about 250cm. Being hardwired, it needs to be wired in by a qualified electrician rather than plugged in.

Where it works best

Because of its compact scale, it suits kitchen islands, breakfast bars, small dining tables or bedside spots, anywhere a single, characterful point of light is wanted rather than a full chandelier.

About Nuura

Founded in Copenhagen in 2017 by Sofie Refer, Nadia Lassen and Peter Østerberg, Nuura built the Miira range around this same hand blown glass globe, offered here in its simplest single pendant form.
