Nuura Miira 1 Light Pendant - Brass & Optic Clear Glass

Miira 1 strips the collection back to its simplest form, one hand blown glass globe on a slim metal stem, with nothing added to distract from the shape. It's a quiet, confident pendant that can stand alone or be grouped together in twos or threes.

Here, a brass finished stem holds an optic clear glass globe, marked with a fine embossed texture that catches the light rather than diffusing it flat. The result is a livelier, more sparkling point of light than the opal version, with the brass adding a subtle warmth to the metalwork.

How it works

This pendant takes a single G9 lamp (7W). The globe is around 14cm in diameter, with the fitting standing roughly 34.5cm from stem to base of glass, and cable enough to hang at a drop of up to about 250cm. Being hardwired, it needs to be wired in by a qualified electrician rather than plugged in.

Where it works best

Because of its compact scale, it suits kitchen islands, breakfast bars, small dining tables or bedside spots, anywhere a single, characterful point of light is wanted rather than a full chandelier.

Does the Miira 1 pendant need an electrician to install it? Yes, it is a hardwired ceiling fitting. We always recommend a qualified electrician installs this fitting.

Can I return it if I change my mind? No. Nuura fittings are made to order, so they are non-returnable once ordered, unless an item arrives faulty.

Is the light source included, and can it be dimmed? No, the G9 LED lamp (7W maximum) is not supplied. The pendant can be dimmed if you fit a dimmable LED lamp that suits your dimmer circuit.

How much cable does it come with? The cable allows a drop of up to 2500mm. The fitting itself measures 345mm from stem to base of glass, with a 140mm diameter globe.

Will the glass look exactly like the photos? The globe is mouth blown with an embossed texture, so each one can differ slightly, and screens show colour differently. Please call customer service if you are unsure about exact size or colour.

Can I use it in a bathroom? It is rated IP20, so it is for dry indoor rooms only, such as kitchens, dining areas and bedrooms.
