Nuura Miira 1 Light Pendant - Brass & Opal Glass

Miira 1 is the simplest expression of the Miira collection, a single hand blown glass globe suspended from a slender metal stem. There's nothing extra to it, which is exactly the point, it's a shape that works alone above a small table or repeated in multiples along a run of cabinetry or a kitchen island.

This version pairs a brass finished stem with an opal white glass globe. The opal glass diffuses light gently across its whole surface for a soft, even glow, while the brass tone catches the light along the stem and adds a warm, understated shine.

How it works

Miira 1 takes a single G9 lamp (7W). The glass globe measures around 14cm across, with the fitting standing roughly 34.5cm tall, and comes with cable long enough to hang at a drop of up to about 250cm. It's a hardwired fitting, so it needs to be connected by a qualified electrician.

Where it works best

Its small scale makes it a good match for spots where a larger chandelier would overwhelm the room, above a bedside table, in a reading corner, or lined up in a row over a kitchen island or breakfast bar.

Questions People Ask

Does the Nuura Miira 1 pendant need an electrician to fit? Yes, it is a hardwired Class II fitting with a 120mm diameter ceiling plate. We always recommend a qualified electrician installs this fitting.

Can I return it if I change my mind? No. Nuura fittings are made to order, so they are non-returnable once ordered, unless an item arrives faulty.

What bulb does it take, and can it be dimmed? It takes one G9 LED lamp, 7W maximum, which is not supplied. It can be dimmed if you fit a dimmable LED lamp that suits your dimmer circuit.

How long can the drop be? The cable allows a drop of up to 2500mm. The stem and globe together measure 345mm, and the globe is 140mm across.

Will every piece look exactly the same? No. The opal glass is mouth blown and the brass finished metal is hand finished, so small differences in tone and shape are normal. Screens also show colour differently, so please call customer service if you are unsure.

Can I use it in a bathroom? It is rated IP20, so it is for dry indoor rooms only and is not suitable for bathrooms.
