Nuura Miira 1 Light Pendant - Brass & Opal Glass

Miira 1 is the simplest expression of the Miira collection, a single hand blown glass globe suspended from a slender metal stem. There's nothing extra to it, which is exactly the point, it's a shape that works alone above a small table or repeated in multiples along a run of cabinetry or a kitchen island.

This version pairs a brass finished stem with an opal white glass globe. The opal glass diffuses light gently across its whole surface for a soft, even glow, while the brass tone catches the light along the stem and adds a warm, understated shine.

How it works

Miira 1 takes a single G9 lamp (7W). The glass globe measures around 14cm across, with the fitting standing roughly 34.5cm tall, and comes with cable long enough to hang at a drop of up to about 250cm. It's a hardwired fitting, so it needs to be connected by a qualified electrician.

Where it works best

Its small scale makes it a good match for spots where a larger chandelier would overwhelm the room, above a bedside table, in a reading corner, or lined up in a row over a kitchen island or breakfast bar.

Nuura was founded in Copenhagen in 2017 by Sofie Refer, Nadia Lassen and Peter Østerberg. Miira is the brand's most versatile collection, built around the same hand blown glass globe used here in its simplest single pendant form.
