Nuura Liila Outdoor Wall Light - Black & Optic Clear Glass

Liila Wall Outdoor takes the Liila idea outside, an angled metal disc on a short stem, positioned in front of a hand blown glass globe so the light reflects downward rather than spreading in every direction. It's built specifically for exterior walls, with a more directional, practical character than the indoor Liila pieces.

This version finishes the metal stem and disc in black, with an optic clear glass globe that lets the light source show through with a bit of texture and sparkle rather than an even wash. The angled disc catches that light and throws it down the wall, giving a more directional pool of illumination than a plain globe alone would, useful either side of a front door where you want light on the step as well as the fitting itself.

How it works

Liila Wall Outdoor takes a single G9 lamp (7W) and is a wall mounted fitting only, rather than one that can also sit flush to a ceiling. It's hardwired and must be installed by a qualified electrician. It measures around 26cm in height and 16.5cm in diameter, projecting about 21.1cm from the wall, with a backplate roughly 10.5cm across. It carries an IP54 rating, which exceeds the IP44 typically required for bathroom zones, so it's built to cope with genuine exterior weather.

Where it works best

It's designed for exterior use, either side of a front door, along a porch wall, or lighting a path or entrance from above. The IP54 rating means it's protected against dust and water splashes from any direction, so it suits covered or semi covered exterior spots as well as fully open walls.

About Nuura

Nuura, the Danish brand behind the Liila collection, was founded in Copenhagen in 2017 by Sofie Refer, Nadia Lassen and Peter Østerberg. Its outdoor pieces carry the same mouth blown glass and considered metalwork as the rest of the range, adapted to handle life outside.
