Nuura Liila 1 Light Small IP44 Wall/Flush Light - Light Silver & Opal Glass

Liila 1 Small is the smallest fitting in Nuura's Liila range, a single hand blown glass sphere mounted close to the wall on a slim circular backplate. It's designed to read as a small, precise detail rather than a fixture in its own right.

Light silver and opal glass

Here a light silver backplate, cool and softly brushed, sits behind an opal white glass sphere. The opal glass diffuses light evenly across the globe for a soft, even glow, and the pale silver metal keeps the whole piece understated, almost disappearing against light walls until it's switched on. It suits cooler, more minimal interiors, alongside chrome fittings or pale stone and tiling.

How it works

A single G9 lamp (7W) lights Liila 1 Small, which installs as either a wall light or a flush ceiling light. It's a hardwired fitting, so a qualified electrician is needed to connect it. The backplate measures around Ø14cm, the glass globe is Ø12cm, and the fitting projects about 14.9cm from the wall or ceiling.

Where it works best

Its compact size suits tight corners, narrow landings, or a row along a corridor wall where a bigger fitting wouldn't fit comfortably. Rated IP44, it's suitable for installation in a bathroom as well, provided it's positioned within a zone that permits IP44 fittings, covered in more detail in our bathroom lighting zones guide.

Good to know

• Made to order by Nuura, so please allow time for production and delivery.
• As with all Nuura fittings, this piece is non-returnable once ordered unless it arrives faulty.
• IP44 rated: protected against water splashes from any direction, suitable for use in appropriate bathroom lighting zones. Check our bathroom lighting zones guide before choosing its exact position.
• Hardwired fitting, must be installed by a registered electrician.
• Takes one G9 lamp (7W).
• The glass is mouth blown and the metal is hand finished, so the exact look of the opal glass and silver finish can vary slightly from piece to piece, and can look different lit and unlit. Screens also show colour differently. If you are in any doubt about exact size or colour, please call customer service.
• Clean with a soft, dry cloth only, avoid household cleaning products on the glass or metal.

Questions People Ask

Does the Nuura Liila 1 Small need an electrician to install? It is a hardwired Class I fitting that mounts on a wall or ceiling. We always recommend a qualified electrician installs this fitting.

Can I return it if I change my mind? No. Nuura fittings are made to order, so they are non-returnable once ordered, unless an item arrives faulty.

What light source does it take, and can it be dimmed? It takes one G9 LED lamp, up to 7W, which is not supplied. It can be dimmed if you fit a dimmable LED lamp that suits your dimmer circuit.

Can I use it in a bathroom? It is rated IP44, so it can be used in bathroom zones that permit IP44 fittings. Our bathroom lighting zones guide explains which zones apply.

How big is it? The backplate is Ø14cm and the glass globe is Ø12cm. It projects about 14.9cm from the wall or ceiling.

Will the glass and finish match the photos exactly? The glass is mouth blown and the silver finish is hand finished, so small differences between pieces are normal. Opal glass can also look different lit and unlit. If you are unsure, call customer service.
