Nuura Liila 1 Light Outdoor Wall/Flush Light - Black & Optic Clear Glass

Liila 1 Outdoor brings the single sphere Liila design outside, a circular black metal backplate holding a hand blown glass globe slightly proud of the wall or porch ceiling, built to the same simple silhouette as the indoor version but rated for exterior conditions.

Black finish and optic clear glass

This version combines the black backplate with optic clear glass rather than opal. The clear glass has a subtle inner texture that lets the lamp show through as small points of light and reflection, giving the sphere a bit more sparkle and definition after dark than an opal shade would. Set against a black or dark painted door, or plain render, it reads as a crisp, modern detail rather than a traditional lantern.

How it works

It takes a single G9 lamp (7W) and installs as either a wall light or a flush fitting on a porch ceiling. As a hardwired fixture, it must be connected by a qualified electrician. It measures around Ø16.5cm and projects roughly 17cm from the surface, on a backplate of about 10.5cm. It carries an IP54 rating, exceeding the IP44 typically required for bathroom zones, and is built to withstand real outdoor weather.

Where it works best

It works well either side of a front door, along a covered walkway, or set into a porch ceiling above an entrance. Rated IP54, it's built to cope with rain and damp exterior conditions, so it suits both sheltered and more exposed positions on a facade.

Nuura is a Danish lighting brand founded in Copenhagen in 2017 by Sofie Refer, Nadia Lassen and Peter Østerberg. The Liila collection is built entirely around the idea of a single glass form, and this outdoor version simply lets that same idea live on an exterior wall.
