Blossi Floor takes the same soft, glowing character as the smaller Blossi lamps and lifts it to full floor standing height. A slender stem in warm metal rises just over a metre to a generous mouth blown glass shade, where an integrated LED sends its light out through the glass itself rather than glaring into the room.
Nordic Gold and clear glass
This version pairs a warm, gold toned metal stem and base with a clear mouth blown glass shade. Because the glass is transparent rather than frosted, you can see the gentle curve of the LED disc inside, and the light picks up a faint golden warmth as it passes through the glass and reflects off the metal beneath it.
How it works
Blossi Floor uses a low voltage, integrated LED rated at 6W, built into a glass disc that sends light sideways and downward through the mouth blown glass rather than straight up into the room. The cable, up to 230cm long, has an inline dimmer built in and comes fitted with both EU and UK plugs. It's rated IP20, designed for dry indoor spaces only.
Where it works best
Standing around 120cm tall, Blossi Floor works well beside a sofa or armchair, in a reading corner, or in a hallway where a soft pool of light is more welcome than bright overhead illumination. As a plug in lamp, it simply needs a nearby socket rather than any wiring work.
About Nuura
Nuura is a Danish lighting brand founded in Copenhagen in 2017 by designer Sofie Refer alongside Nadia Lassen and Peter Østerberg. Blossi is one of Sofie Refer's own designs for the brand, and Nuura describes its rounded glass form as inspired by sunlight filtering through autumn leaves.
