Asteea is Nuura's cordless table lamp, a small satin brass base topped with a rippled, bell shaped shade in clear acrylic rather than glass, designed to move freely around a home rather than stay tethered to a socket.

The base is finished in warm satin brass, while the shade is moulded from clear, recyclable acrylic with a rippled, bell like texture that softens and scatters the light rather than letting it shine straight down.
How it works
Asteea has a replaceable integrated LED and runs on a rechargeable battery, offering more than 10 hours of light at its brightest setting. It charges via USB-C, with the cable included, though the power adapter is sold separately. With an IP65 rating, it's protected against dust and water and suited to outdoor as well as indoor use, and it's also suitable for installation in a bathroom, provided it's positioned in a zone that permits IP65 fittings. Where it works best
Being cordless, Asteea goes wherever it's needed, a bedside table, a dinner table, a bathroom shelf within an appropriate zone, or out on a terrace on a summer evening, moving from room to room without ever needing a socket nearby.
About Nuura
Asteea is designed by Sofie Refer, who founded Nuura in Copenhagen in 2017 alongside Nadia Lassen and Peter Østerberg. Nuura describes its rippled shade as inspired by the shape of the bellflower.
