Nuura Apiales Hard-Wired Wall Light - Brushed Brass & Opal Glass

Apiales Wall takes its cue from the umbellifer, the plant family behind cow parsley and dill, where dozens of tiny flowers cluster into one soft, rounded head. Nuura's version distils that idea into a single curved arm in brushed brass, carrying a small opal glass shade that hides its light source and glows gently rather than shining directly at the eye.

The brushed brass arm has a warm, slightly matte finish that catches light without being glossy, while the opal white glass shade diffuses the bulb inside into a soft, even glow with no visible hotspot.

How it works

This is the hardwired version of Apiales Wall, connected directly into your household wiring rather than plugged in, and mounted with no visible screws or fixings for a clean, seamless look on the wall. It takes a single G9 lamp of up to 5W, not included, and can be paired with a compatible dimmer switch and dimmable bulb if you'd like adjustable brightness. It's rated IP20, so it's suited to dry indoor spaces rather than bathrooms.

Where it works best

Its compact size and soft glow make it a natural fit as a bedside light, either side of a hallway mirror, or dotted along a corridor wall where you want gentle, glare free illumination rather than a strong overhead source.

About Nuura

Nuura is a Danish lighting brand founded in Copenhagen in 2017 by designer Sofie Refer alongside Nadia Lassen and Peter Østerberg. Apiales is one of Sofie Refer's designs, and this hardwired version sits alongside a plug in Apiales Wall of the same shape and finish. The two look identical on the wall; the difference is simply how they connect to power, plugged into a socket with a visible cable, or wired directly in for a fixture with no cable at all.
