Apiales Cluster 6 is a branching, floral chandelier from Danish lighting house Nuura, gathering six mouth blown glass globes on slender solid metal rods that radiate from a slim ceiling cup. The staggered arrangement gives the fixture real presence, more like a scattering of blooms than a single symmetrical light.
Satin black and opal glass
Here the metal rods are finished in satin black, holding six glass globes in opal white. The dark rods recede visually, so the eye is drawn to the soft, even glow of the opal glass rather than the structure holding it up.
How it works
Apiales Cluster 6 takes six G9 lamps, each rated at 5W, for 30W in total. It's a hardwired fixture, so it needs to be connected by a qualified electrician rather than plugged in. Each rod can be adjusted so the globes hang at different heights, and the slim ceiling cup sits close to the ceiling without hiding cornicing or plaster detail beneath it. It's rated IP20, designed for dry indoor spaces only.
Where it works best
At 83cm wide with globes 20cm in diameter, Apiales Cluster 6 needs a bit of room to breathe. Nuura recommends it for spaces with generous ceiling height, such as a stairwell, an entrance hall, or above a dining table, where the varying drop heights can be appreciated from below.
