Apiales 9 Ceiling is the semi-flush version of Sofie Refer's branching Apiales design, with nine slender metal arms unfolding from a central canopy like flower stalks, each one carrying a small glass globe. Unlike the standard Apiales pendant, which drops on an adjustable cable, this version sits close to the ceiling, making it a good option for rooms where a long hanging chandelier wouldn't work.
Satin black and optic smoked glass
This version uses the satin black metal finish with optic smoked glass rather than the opal alternative. The glass has a translucent, smoky charcoal tone with a faceted, diced texture pressed into the inside surface, so the light that comes through is broken up into a soft, patterned glow rather than a flat white glow, giving the fixture more depth and shadow than the opal version.
How it works
Apiales 9 Ceiling takes nine G9 lamps, each rated up to 5W, so you can fit LED lamps to suit the brightness you want. It's rated IP20, for dry indoor rooms only. As a semi-flush fitting it sits close to the ceiling, standing around 39.9cm proud of the surface and spreading to roughly 59.5cm across, on a 14.5cm ceiling plate, which makes it a practical option for rooms with lower ceilings.
Where it works best
Rooms with standard or low ceiling heights, landings, or anywhere a chandelier silhouette is wanted without the drop of a full pendant.

- Semi-flush ceiling mount, supplied with a 14.5cm ceiling plate.
- Hardwired fixture, must be installed by a registered electrician. Moonlight Design recommends a registered NICEIC electrician.
- Clean with a soft, dry cloth only, no household cleaners.
