Nuura Apiales 1 Light Pendant - Satin Black & Opal Glass

Apiales 1 is the simplest expression of Nuura's Apiales collection, a single mouth blown glass globe hanging from a slim metal suspension and fabric covered cord. Nuura describes it as a classic, unfussy pendant that gives good light without taking up much visual space.

This version pairs a satin black metal suspension with a globe in opal white glass. The opal glass diffuses the light evenly through its surface, so the pendant glows softly rather than shining as a single bright point, while the black finish keeps the fitting understated against the glass.

How it works

Apiales 1 takes a single G9 lamp rated at 5W. It's a hardwired fixture, so it needs to be connected by a qualified electrician rather than plugged in, and the cord can be adjusted up to 250cm. The ceiling plate is not included, so a compatible canopy is needed. It's rated IP20, designed for dry indoor spaces only.

Does the Nuura Apiales 1 need an electrician to fit it? It is a hardwired ceiling pendant, and we always recommend a qualified electrician installs this fitting. It is a Class II fitting. The ceiling plate is not included, so a compatible canopy is needed.

Can I return it? No. Nuura fittings are made to order, so they are non-returnable once ordered, unless an item arrives faulty.

What bulb does it take, and can it be dimmed? It takes one G9 LED lamp, up to 5W, which is not supplied. It can be dimmed if you fit a dimmable LED lamp that suits your dimmer circuit.

How long can the cord be? The cord is adjustable up to 2500mm. The globe is 120mm in diameter and the overall fitting is 240mm high, not counting the cord.

Will the glass look the same as in the photos? The globe is mouth blown opal glass, so each piece can differ slightly, and screens render colour differently. Opal glass diffuses the light into a soft, even glow. If you are unsure about colour, please call customer service.

Can I use it in a bathroom or outdoors? No. It is rated IP20, so it is suitable only for dry indoor rooms.
