Nuura Apiales 1 Light Pendant - Satin Black & Opal Glass

Apiales 1 is the simplest expression of Nuura's Apiales collection, a single mouth blown glass globe hanging from a slim metal suspension and fabric covered cord. Nuura describes it as a classic, unfussy pendant that gives good light without taking up much visual space.

Satin black and opal glass

This version pairs a satin black metal suspension with a globe in opal white glass. The opal glass diffuses the light evenly through its surface, so the pendant glows softly rather than shining as a single bright point, while the black finish keeps the fitting understated against the glass.

How it works

Apiales 1 takes a single G9 lamp rated at 5W. It's a hardwired fixture, so it needs to be connected by a qualified electrician rather than plugged in, and the cord can be adjusted up to 250cm. The ceiling plate is not included, so a compatible canopy is needed. It's rated IP20, designed for dry indoor spaces only.

Where it works best

At just 24cm high and 12cm in diameter, Apiales 1 suits a reading nook, a bedside, or a run of several hung in a row above a kitchen island for focused, layered task lighting rather than one large central fitting.
