Nuura Apiales 1 Light Pendant - Brushed Brass & Opal Glass

Apiales 1 is the simplest expression of Sofie Refer's Apiales design, a single small glass globe on a slim metal stem rather than the branching, multi arm chandelier versions. It's a quiet, unobtrusive pendant, well suited to being used on its own or repeated in a row.

Brushed brass and opal glass

This version combines the brushed brass finish, a warm gold toned metal, with a single pure opal white mouth blown glass globe. The opal glass gives a soft, even glow rather than a sharp point of light, and the slim brass stem and gold fabric covered cord keep the fixture visually light.

How it works

Apiales 1 takes a single G9 lamp, rated up to 5W, so you can choose an LED lamp for the brightness you want. It's rated IP20, for dry indoor rooms only. The globe measures around 24cm high and 12cm across, and it's supplied with up to 250cm of cable. A ceiling rose is available as an option if you'd prefer a neater ceiling finish; without it, the fixture is designed to be fitted with a separate canopy.

Where it works best

Repeated in a line above a kitchen island or breakfast bar, or used singly in a reading nook or narrow hallway where a larger pendant wouldn't fit.

Nuura is a Danish lighting brand established in Copenhagen in 2017 by Sofie Refer alongside Nadia Lassen and Peter Østerberg, working primarily in mouth blown glass and warm metal finishes.

• Hardwired fixture, must be installed by a registered electrician. Moonlight Design recommends a registered NICEIC electrician.
