Apiales 1 Large is the bigger sibling of Nuura's single globe Apiales pendant, a wider mouth blown glass shade hanging from a slim metal suspension and cord. It keeps the same clean, uncluttered silhouette as the standard Apiales 1, just with more presence.
Satin black and opal glass
This version pairs a satin black metal suspension with a larger globe in opal white glass. The opal glass diffuses light evenly across its wider surface, giving a soft, even glow rather than a concentrated point of brightness, while the black fittings stay quietly in the background.
How it works
Apiales 1 Large takes a single G9 lamp rated at 5W. It's a hardwired fixture, so it needs to be connected by a qualified electrician rather than plugged in, and the cord can be adjusted up to 250cm. The ceiling plate is not included, so a compatible canopy should be sourced separately. It's rated IP20, designed for dry indoor spaces only.
Where it works best
At 31.6cm high and 20cm in diameter, Apiales 1 Large works well as a single pendant over a small dining table or in a hallway, or hung in a row for a run of even, well spaced light along a kitchen island or long table.

Good to know
- Made to order by Nuura, so please allow time for production and delivery.
- Non-returnable once ordered unless it arrives faulty.
- IP20 rated: for dry indoor rooms only.
- Takes one G9 lamp (5W).
- Hardwired fixture, a qualified electrician is needed for installation.
- Ceiling plate not included, a compatible canopy is required.
- Clean with a soft, dry cloth only.
- The glass is mouth blown and hand finished, so slight variation in the opal glass from piece to piece is normal, and screens show colour differently. If you are unsure about exact size or colour, please call customer service.
Questions People Ask
Do I need an electrician to install the Apiales 1 Large? Yes, it is a hardwired pendant and we always recommend a qualified electrician installs this fitting. The ceiling plate is not included, so a compatible canopy needs to be sourced separately.
Can I return it if I change my mind? No. Nuura fittings are made to order, so they are non-returnable once ordered, unless an item arrives faulty.
What bulb does it take, and can it be dimmed? It takes one G9 LED lamp of up to 5W, which is not supplied. It can be dimmed if you fit a dimmable LED lamp that suits your dimmer circuit.
How long can the cord be? The cord can be adjusted up to 2500mm. The globe is 200mm in diameter and the overall height of the fitting is 316mm, excluding the cord.
Will the glass look exactly like the photos? The globe is mouth blown opal glass, finished by hand, so each piece can differ slightly, and screens render white tones differently. If you are in doubt about exact size or colour, please call customer service.
Can I use it in a bathroom? No. It is rated IP20, which means it is suitable for dry indoor rooms only. The metal parts should be cleaned with a soft, dry cloth, with no detergents.
