Apiales 1 Large takes the simplest pendant in Sofie Refer's Apiales collection and scales up the glass globe, giving a single, more generously sized shade on a slim brushed brass stem rather than the branching, multi arm chandelier versions.
Brushed brass and opal glass
This version combines the brushed brass finish with a large pure opal white mouth blown glass globe. The bigger globe gives a fuller, more rounded glow than the smaller Apiales 1 pendant, while the brushed brass stem and gold fabric covered cord keep the fixture feeling light rather than heavy.
How it works
Apiales 1 Large takes a single G9 lamp, rated up to 5W, so you can choose an LED lamp for the brightness you want. It's rated IP20, for dry indoor rooms only. The fixture measures around 31.6cm high including the stem, the globe is 20cm across, and it is supplied with up to 250cm of cable. A ceiling rose is available as an option; without it, the fixture needs a separate canopy at installation.
Where it works best
As a single statement drop over a side table or reading chair, or grouped at staggered heights above a dining table or kitchen island.

Nuura, established in Copenhagen in 2017 by Sofie Refer, Nadia Lassen and Peter Østerberg, works primarily in mouth blown glass and warm metal finishes made in small batches.

- The glass is mouth blown and the brass is hand finished, so each piece varies slightly and colour can look different on screen. If you are in any doubt about exact size or colour, please call customer service.
- Clean with a soft, dry cloth only, no household cleaners.
Questions People Ask
How big is the Apiales 1 Large pendant? The opal glass globe is 20cm across and the whole fixture is around 31.6cm high, with up to 250cm of cable.
Does it need an electrician to install? We always recommend a qualified electrician installs this fitting. It is a hardwired ceiling pendant and is Class I.
Can I return it if I change my mind? No. Nuura fittings are made to order, so they are non-returnable once ordered, unless an item arrives faulty.
What light bulb does it take, and can it be dimmed? It takes one G9 lamp of up to 5W, which is not included. It can be dimmed if you fit a dimmable LED lamp that suits your dimmer circuit.
Is the glass the same on every pendant? The opal glass is mouth blown and the brushed brass is hand finished, so small differences between pieces are normal. Colour can also look different on screen.
Can I use it in a bathroom? No. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry indoor rooms only.
