A Shorter Column of Light for Smaller Gardens
The Alta Medium is the more compact of the two Alta bollards, giving the same steady column of path or driveway light in a size that suits smaller front gardens or tighter spacing. It sits on a fixed base, supplied with its own concrete anchor kit for a permanent installation.
Choosing the Medium Size
At 490mm tall, Medium reads as a lower, more discreet marker light rather than a dominant feature, useful where the Large bollard would look oversized or where local planning favours a lower profile near a boundary.
How It Works
Alta Medium takes a single E27 lamp up to 60W (bulb not included) and is Class 2 double insulated, standing 490mm high. Its steel body is hot dip galvanised, then powder coated black, with an opal polycarbonate lens. It carries an IP65 rating and a 15 year guarantee against corrosion.
Where It Works Best
IP65 and the galvanised construction make this a dependable choice for shorter driveways, path edges and compact front gardens, including coastal properties where salt air quickly ages untreated metal. It works well repeated at close spacing along a path.

Like the rest of the Alta range, Medium is finished using Norlys' own hot dip galvanising and powder coating lines at its Polish production facility, capabilities the company built in house after finding conventional coatings weren't resistant enough to Scandinavia's coastal conditions.
