Satin Nickel, Quiet Strength on Any Wall
Satin Nickel takes the Cargo shape and finishes it in a soft, low glare metal that sits comfortably against almost any exterior colour, brick, render, painted timber, without pulling too much attention to itself. It has a gentle brushed texture rather than a hard shine, so it reads as understated and practical, a fixture that just works quietly wherever it is fitted rather than demanding a particular style of house around it.
How It Works
Underneath the satin plating is a solid brass body, chosen for its resistance to corrosion in salty, damp air, and the fixture is IP64 rated for use on an exposed exterior wall. It takes a single ES/E27 lamp, sold separately, and the lamp sits behind a clear ribbed glass diffuser that spreads the light into a softer glow rather than a single bright point. Cable entry is at the rear via a cable gland, so the wiring disappears neatly once the fixture is fixed in place.
Where It Works Best
Because it neither ages like brass nor shines as hard as Mirror Nickel, Satin Nickel is the finish for anyone who wants a wall light to blend in rather than stand out, ideal for terraced fronts, side passages, and back doors where a subtler fitting suits the setting. It sits between the two nickel options as the calmer of the pair, and offers a steadier alternative to Raw Brass and Antique Brass for anyone who would rather not watch a finish change over the years. Compared with other Navigator wall lights like the Mast or Up and Down models, Cargo's flush, close set bulkhead body keeps a lower profile, useful where wall space or door clearance is tight.

Questions People Ask
Does Satin Nickel show fingerprints or watermarks outdoors? The brushed texture is fairly forgiving compared with a high gloss finish, so light marks tend to be far less noticeable, and rain typically washes the surface clean on its own.
What is the difference between the Satin Nickel and Mirror Nickel versions of this light? Satin Nickel has a soft, brushed, low glare surface, while Mirror Nickel is fully polished and reflective. Both share the same solid brass body and IP64 rating underneath.
Is the Navigator Cargo Wall Light in Satin Nickel suitable for a front door in an exposed position? Yes, it is IP64 rated, so it is built to handle driving rain and coastal air on an unsheltered exterior wall.
