A Lantern That Already Wears Its Sea Miles
There is something reassuring about a light that looks like it has already stood watch over a few winters. The Navigator Small Siren in Antique Brass has that deep, toasted brown gold colouring worked into the metal from the start, so it reads as settled and salt worn the moment it goes up on the wall. Against old stone, dark render or a weathered front door, it sits like it has always belonged there, throwing a warm glow out across the step or path below.
How It Works
Underneath that aged finish is a solid brass body built to genuinely earn its keep outdoors. A clear ribbed glass diffuser wraps the lamp, spreading the light evenly while keeping rain and grit off the bulb, and the whole fixture carries an IP64 rating so it can handle driving rain and coastal air without fuss. It takes a single ES / E27 lamp, not included, and the cable enters via a gland fitted at the end or rear of the body, with a spare blank gland in the box to plug whichever opening you leave unused.
Where It Works Best
This plain, ungrilled version of the Small Siren is built to put out the maximum amount of light rather than shield it behind bars, which makes it a strong choice for porches, entrances, garden walls and patios where you want genuine, even illumination rather than a decorative glow. Compared with the grilled bulkheads elsewhere in the Navigator range, it suits spots where the fixture will not take knocks, front doors, courtyard walls, the approach to a boot room, rather than working sites or narrow passageways. In Antique Brass specifically, it earns its keep on older or traditional properties, cottages, converted barns, anywhere the surrounding brick or stone already carries some age, since the finish never needs years outdoors to look settled in.

Questions People Ask
Does the Antique Brass finish need any upkeep once it is outside?
Very little. Because the aged, toasted tone is already built into the brass, it will not lighten or brighten with weathering the way a raw brass fitting does, so an occasional wipe down is really all it asks for.
Is this bulkhead light strong enough for a fully exposed coastal wall?
Yes. The solid brass body and IP64 rating mean it is built for driving rain and salty air, and the antique finish is applied to cope with the elements rather than just for looks.
What size and type of bulb does the Navigator Small Siren take?
It takes a single ES / E27 lamp, which is not included, so you can choose whichever colour temperature and brightness suits the space.
