How It Works

The satin nickel plating sits over the same solidly built lantern as the rest of the range, with a prismatic glass diffuser that spreads the light gently rather than as one sharp point, softening the glow across a step or path. It carries an IP54 rating, so it is designed for covered outdoor spots, porches, canopies and covered walkways, where it will face damp air and wind but not direct driving rain. It is wired for a single E27 (Edison screw) lamp up to 18W, LED lamps included, and hangs from a chain fixed to a ceiling rose plate, ready to be connected by a qualified electrician.

Where It Works Best

Satin nickel suits newer builds, coastal render, grey or white painted exteriors and anywhere the rest of the hardware, door furniture or outdoor lighting already leans towards cooler metal tones rather than brass. Unlike the raw brass version, it will not patinate or darken with age, so its look stays consistent year after year with very little upkeep. Compared with the antique brass sibling, it trades warmth for a cleaner, more understated finish.
