How It Works

Underneath that finish sits a solid brass body built for genuine outdoor duty, with a clear ribbed glass diffuser held behind a protective eyelid hood. That hood shields the lamp from the worst of the weather and cuts glare, while the ribbed glass spreads the light out softly rather than throwing a single harsh beam. It carries an IP64 rating, so it is happy in driving rain and salty coastal conditions alike. Inside is a single ES / E27 lamp holder, with the lamp itself not included so you can pick the wattage and colour temperature you want. Cable entry can be run in at the end or the rear of the fitting, and a blank brass gland is supplied so whichever entry point goes unused is neatly sealed rather than left open.

Will the Raw Brass finish change colour outdoors?
Yes, and that is really the point of choosing it. Because the brass is left unlacquered, weather and salt air will gradually darken and soften it into a warm, aged patina rather than keeping the bright finish it has when new.
