How It Works

Behind that aged finish is a solid brass body and a thick prismatic glass diffuser with deep radial ribbing, designed to scatter light widely rather than in a single hard beam. The fitting is rated IP64, giving it solid protection against rain and splashing water in an exposed spot. It runs on a single E27 lamp, up to 18W, and will happily take a dimmable bulb for softer evening lighting. Cable entry is made through the end or the rear of the fixture, with a brass blank included to seal off whichever opening you leave unused.

This finish is suited to period homes, harbourside cottages and traditional pubs or inns where a brand new, shiny fitting would look out of place. Because the aged look is baked into the finish rather than earned through years outdoors, it gives you that established, lived in character from the moment it goes up, which Raw Brass will only reach after some years of weathering.
