Character Built In From Day One
Some people love the idea of raw brass ageing outdoors, others would rather skip the wait. The Navigator Walkway Guard Light in Antique Brass gives you that lived in warmth from the moment it comes out of the box, a deep toned, already settled finish that looks like it has guarded a doorway for years, without you needing to wait for the weather to do the work.
How It Works
Strip away the finish and the engineering is the same across the whole Navigator Walkway Guard range. This one runs on a single G9 lamp (not supplied), copes with a dimmable bulb if a softer glow is what you are after, and is rated IP64 against rain and coastal air. What sets it apart is where the ageing happens: the antique tone is baked into the brass at the factory rather than left to the weather, so the colour stays settled and even from the day it goes up. Once it is fixed to the wall, cable entry through the rear plate keeps the wiring tucked away and protected.
Where It Works Best
Antique Brass earns its keep on period doorways, pub entrances, courtyards and older coastal properties where a brand new, bright finish would look out of place next to worn stone or aged timber. Compared with Raw Brass, which starts pale and darkens gradually, this finish arrives with its story already told, and compared with Satin Nickel it brings a warmer, more traditional tone to the same compact guarded design.

Questions People Ask
Is Antique Brass already weathered or will it change further outdoors?
It arrives with its aged tone already in place, and being solid brass it may deepen very slightly over time, but nowhere near as dramatically as the unlacquered Raw Brass option.
What is the difference between the Antique Brass and Raw Brass versions?
Raw Brass starts bright and ages naturally outdoors, while Antique Brass is finished with its warm, settled tone from the start, so you get the look immediately.
What lamp does this fixture take and can I dim it?
It takes one G9 lamp, not supplied, and will dim if paired with a dimmable G9 bulb and compatible dimmer switch.
