Matte White: A Tall Wall Light With Clean Restrained Character
The Tilia Ceramic Wall Light in Matte White is a 31.5cm tall, 24cm wide handmade ceramic wall fitting with a plain matte white finish and a 29.5cm projection that gives it a confident, substantial presence on any wall. The matte white is applied by hand at Mullan Village and fired on site. At this scale it is a genuinely architectural presence on a wall, taller and wider than most ceramic wall lights in the Mullan range. The plain, clean quality of the finish is, in the context of the broader ceramics collection, itself a kind of restraint. A fitting that earns its place through scale, proportion and the quality of the material rather than through colour or pattern.
How It Works
The open ceramic shade faces outward and slightly downward, directing the E27 bulb's warm light across the wall and into the room. The plain matte white body reflects light at the ceramic edges, brightening the wall surface around the fitting. Compatible with dimmable E27 bulbs. A warm white dimmable E27 LED works well with the clean, considered character of this finish.

The Story Behind Mullan
Mullan Lighting was founded in 2009 by architect Mike Treanor, who restored a derelict 19th century flax mill in Mullan Village, County Monaghan. Over 100 craftspeople work at the studio and every piece is made to order using sustainable clay and recycled brass. The studio distributes to more than 55 countries.

Can I return it?
No. Every Mullan light is made to order, so it cannot be returned unless it arrives faulty or damaged. If anything is wrong when it arrives, please contact us as soon as possible.
