Marbled Ceramic and Glass: A Statement Wall Light With Natural Stone Quality
The Soraya Ceramic Wall Light in Marbled finish is a 28cm wide handmade ceramic and glass wall fitting with the timeless visual quality of hand painted marbled stone and a 15.5cm projection that gives it a proper physical presence on the wall. The swirling tones of cream, warm grey and natural stone are applied individually at Mullan Village before firing. No two pieces carry an identical pattern. The glass shade provides a diffuser for the E27 bulb, softening the light into the room while the wide marbled ceramic body reads as a quietly beautiful sculptural form on the wall. It is a fitting that looks as interesting switched off as it does when lit.
How It Works
The glass shade faces outward, diffusing and distributing the E27 bulb's warm light across the wall and into the room. The wide marbled ceramic body sits on the wall as a generous, considered form, the tones reading differently in natural daylight and warm evening light. A warm white dimmable E27 LED suits the marbled finish well.

The Story Behind Mullan
Mullan Lighting was founded in 2009 by architect Mike Treanor, who restored a derelict 19th century flax mill in Mullan Village, County Monaghan. Ceramicist Stephen Kieran developed the marbling technique by drawing on the layered stone and mineral textures of the Irish landscape. Over 100 craftspeople work at the studio and every piece is made to order using sustainable clay and recycled brass.

What bulb does the Soraya Wall Light take?
It takes a standard E27 screw fit bulb, maximum 40W. Bulb not included. A warm white LED E27 suits the marbled finish well.
Will my wall light look exactly like the photo?
The marbling is hand painted so the pattern on your piece will differ from the photos. The tones will be consistent but the character of the marbling is unique to every piece.
Is this suitable for a bathroom?
The Soraya Wall Light is IP20 rated and suitable for dry indoor areas only. It is not certified for bathroom wet zones.
Can I use a dimmable bulb?
Yes. Compatible with dimmable E27 LED bulbs. Ensure your dimmer switch is rated for LED use. Bulb not included.
Can I return it?
No. Every Mullan light is made to order, so it cannot be returned unless it arrives faulty or damaged. If anything is wrong when it arrives, please contact us as soon as possible.
