The Seville Table Lamp in Red Iron is a 40cm tall, 28cm wide handmade ceramic table lamp with the warm, earthy intensity of the red iron finish and a distinctive triple G9 bulb configuration that creates a warm, layered quality of light from within. The iron tones ranging from warm terracotta through to deeper rust and ochre are applied by hand at Mullan Village and fixed through firing, with natural variation preserved from piece to piece. At this scale the red iron finish has genuine room to show its warmth and complexity. With the three warm G9 bulbs in the evening the red iron tones deepen and enrich, creating an atmosphere in the room that is genuinely atmospheric.

How It Works

Three G9 bulbs sit within the ceramic body, creating a warm ambient glow. All three bulbs should be the same type and wattage. A matched set of warm white dimmable G9 LEDs is strongly recommended to bring out the full depth of the red iron finish.

The Story Behind Mullan

Mullan Lighting was founded in 2009 by architect Mike Treanor, who restored a derelict 19th century flax mill in Mullan Village, County Monaghan. Ceramicist Stephen Kieran developed the red iron finish in direct response to the iron rich soils and weathered stone of the County Monaghan landscape. Over 100 craftspeople work at the studio and every piece is made to order using sustainable clay and recycled brass.

Will my lamp look exactly like the photo?
Close but not identical. The red iron finish is hand applied and fired so depth of colour and surface texture vary naturally between pieces.

Can I use dimmable bulbs?
Yes. Compatible with dimmable G9 LED bulbs. Ensure your circuit supports dimming. Bulbs not included.

Is this suitable for a bathroom?
The Seville Table Lamp is IP20 rated and suitable for dry indoor areas only.

Can I return it?
No. Every Mullan light is made to order, so it cannot be returned unless it arrives faulty or damaged. If anything is wrong when it arrives, please contact us as soon as possible.
