Mullan Seville Ceramic Pendant - Terracotta & White with Finish Options

Terracotta and White: Sun Warmed Character in a Wide Pendant

The Seville Pendant in Terracotta and White is the most distinctive finish in the Seville pendant range. The two tone combination of warm terracotta and contrasting white is applied by hand at Mullan Village before firing. At 28cm wide the pendant has a genuinely generous, statement presence above a dining table or kitchen island, and the terracotta and white combination gives it a personality and warmth that reads very differently to a single colour ceramic fitting. It is the finish that references the whitewashed walls and sun warmed terracotta of coastal interiors while remaining entirely at home in a contemporary British kitchen.

How It Works

The open ceramic shade faces downward, directing the E27 bulb's light into the room. The 28cm diameter creates a broad, generous pool of warm light below. The terracotta and white tones work particularly beautifully in warm evening light, the terracotta deepening as brightness dims. A warm white dimmable E27 LED is recommended.

Where It Works Best

The Terracotta and White Seville Pendant is a natural above a large dining table or kitchen island in a room with a warm, relaxed or naturally layered aesthetic. It works well in rooms with limewash plaster walls, natural rattan, warm timber and woven textiles, and pairs particularly well with antique brass or warm metal hardware.

The Story Behind Mullan

Mullan Lighting was founded in 2009 by architect Mike Treanor, who restored a derelict 19th century flax mill in Mullan Village, County Monaghan. The ceramics collection draws its colour palette from the Irish landscape and the historic buildings surrounding the village. Over 100 craftspeople work at the studio and every piece is made to order using sustainable clay and recycled brass.

FAQs

What bulb does the Seville Pendant take?
It takes a standard E27 screw fit bulb, maximum 40W. Bulb not included. A warm white LED E27 suits the terracotta and white finish well.

Will my pendant look exactly like the photo?
The terracotta and white finish is hand applied, so the exact distribution and blending of the two tones varies naturally between pieces. The overall character will be consistent but your piece will have its own particular warmth and surface quality.

Is this suitable for a bathroom?
The Seville Pendant is IP20 rated and suitable for dry indoor areas only. It is not certified for bathroom wet zones.

Can I use a dimmable bulb?
Yes. Compatible with dimmable E27 LED bulbs. Ensure your dimmer switch is rated for LED use. Bulb not included.

Can I return it?
No. Every Mullan light is made to order, so it cannot be returned unless it arrives faulty or damaged. If anything is wrong when it arrives, please contact us as soon as possible.
