The Coco Wall Light in Marbled finish is a small ceramic wall light with a visual quality that many larger fittings never achieve. At 10cm tall and 10.5cm wide with a 19cm projection, it fits comfortably in spaces where a larger wall light would feel out of scale. The swirling tones of cream, warm grey and natural stone are applied individually at Mullan Village before firing. The marbling pattern is never reproduced identically from one piece to the next because it is painted by hand, and that natural uniqueness is precisely what makes a Mullan ceramic worth choosing over anything mass produced.

How It Works

The open ceramic shade faces outward and slightly downward, directing the G9 bulb's warm light across the wall surface and into the room. The marbled ceramic body reads as a quietly beautiful form on the wall, the swirling tones visible and shifting in quality as the light in the room changes through the day. Compatible with dimmable G9 LED bulbs. A warm white G9 suits the marbled finish well and brings out the depth of the stone and grey tones in the evening light.

Where It Works Best

The Marbled Coco is well suited to bedrooms, bathrooms adjacent to dry zones, hallways and smaller living spaces where a compact wall light with genuine visual character is needed. Used as a pair either side of a bed or mirror it creates a layered, considered lighting arrangement. The marbled finish works with an exceptionally wide range of interior palettes, from cool and minimal to warm and layered, and it has a timeless quality that does not date.

The Story Behind Mullan

Mullan Lighting was founded in 2009 by architect Mike Treanor, who restored a derelict 19th century flax mill in Mullan Village, County Monaghan. Ceramicist Stephen Kieran developed the marbling technique by drawing on the layered stone and mineral textures of the Irish landscape surrounding the village. Over 100 craftspeople work at the studio and every piece is made to order using sustainable clay and recycled brass.

FAQs

What bulb does the Coco Wall Light take?
It takes a G9 capsule bulb, maximum 6.5W. Bulb not included. A warm white LED G9 suits the marbled finish well and can be dimmable for full mood control.

Will my wall light look exactly like the photo?
The marbling is hand painted so the pattern on your piece will differ from the photos. The tones will be consistent but the distribution and character of the marbling is unique to every piece fired at Mullan Village.

Is this suitable for a bathroom?
The Coco Wall Light is IP20 rated and suitable for dry indoor areas only. It is not certified for bathroom wet zones. Please contact us if you need a bathroom rated wall light and we will advise.

Can I use a dimmable bulb?
Yes. Compatible with dimmable G9 LED bulbs. Ensure your dimmer switch is rated for LED use. Bulb not included.

Can I return it?
No. Every Mullan light is made to order, so it cannot be returned unless it arrives faulty or damaged. If anything is wrong when it arrives, please contact us as soon as possible.
