A quiet single statement

The Merri wall sconce is built around a simple idea: a slim backplate, a tall tapered shade, and a finish that quietly plays two tones off each other. This single arm version carries one shade, casting a soft, contained pool of light rather than a wide spread, which is exactly why it works so well as a considered accent rather than a showpiece.

Aged brass and white finish

The arm and backplate are finished in white, kept clean and understated, with a small aged brass disc set between them as the one warm accent point. The off white linen shade above continues that same restrained palette, so the fixture reads as quietly considered rather than ornate.

How it works

This single arm version is fitted for one E12 candelabra bulb, rated up to 60W, tucked behind a linen shade that stands 8 inches tall and tapers from 3 inches at the top to 5 inches at the base. The fixture itself measures 13.5 inches high and 5 inches wide, mounted on a round backplate of around 4.75 inches, and projects 7 inches out from the wall.

Where it works best

A single Merri sconce suits spots where one clean gesture is enough, spaced at intervals along a hallway, either side of a doorway, or as a bedside light where a single warm glow is all that is needed. Its narrow 5 inch footprint means it sits comfortably on tighter wall runs where a wider fixture would feel crowded.
