Mitzi Lani 1 Light Wall Sconce Light - Aged Brass

A glow that floats on the wall

Lani pairs an opal matte globe shade with a slim rectangular backplate in aged brass, set slightly forward so the globe appears to hover rather than sit flush against the metal beneath it. Light spreads out through the glass itself and bounces gently off the brass behind it, giving the sconce a glow that reads more like a lit object than a fitting.

Aged Brass finish

The backplate carries a warm aged brass finish, with the kind of soft variation that comes from a hand applied patina rather than a flat, uniform coat, so no two pieces catch the light in quite the same way. It sits naturally alongside warmer woods and metals, though it holds its own against cooler greys and whites too.

How it works

Lani takes a single G9 LED bulb, rated up to 6W and not included, set behind the opal matte glass globe. The rectangular backplate measures 35.6cm tall by 11.4cm wide, the sconce projects 11.4cm out from the wall, and the globe shade itself stands 11.4cm high.

Where it works best

Its upright shape suits a pair either side of a mirror, bed or fireplace, and its shallow wall projection means it also earns its place in narrower spots such as a hallway or landing, where a deeper fitting would feel like it was in the way.
