Mitzi Evie 1 Light Wall Sconce Light - Old Bronze

One continuous curl of metal

Evie is built around a single gesture: a strip of metal that lifts off the wall and loops back on itself in one continuous curl, closer to a piece of calligraphy than a conventional wall light. There is no visible shade or fitting to interrupt the line, so from across a room it reads first as a shape and only second as a light.

Old Bronze finish

Finished in Old Bronze, this version has a darker, more matte presence than a polished metal, with a depth that shows its texture rather than reflecting the room back at you. It reads particularly well against darker walls or alongside aged or blackened ironmongery, where a shinier finish would stand out too much.

How it works

The fixture takes a single G9 LED bulb (not included), rated up to 4W and run from a 220 to 240V supply. It stands 25cm tall and 12cm wide, projects 10cm from the wall, and sits on a round backplate 12cm across. With the bulb set into the curve of the metal, most of the light plays along the wall itself, giving a gentler, more ambient result than a fixture with an open shade.

Where it works best

Because the output is soft rather than bright, Evie suits places built for mood over task: a bedroom, either side of a headboard, a landing or stairwell, or either side of a console table in a hallway. Old Bronze in particular tends to hold its own in darker, more moody schemes where a paler metal might disappear.

Mitzi comes from a family run lighting business now in its third generation, working out of New York's Hudson Valley. The name honours the founder's grandmother, a painter and antique collector known for spotting a bargain long before anyone else had noticed it, and that same instinct shapes the brand today: fixtures with a distinct point of view, designed to be genuinely accessible rather than positioned as a luxury.
