Mitzi Denise 1 Light Wall Sconce Light - Aged Old Bronze

A sleek update on deco style

Denise brings a slender, sculptural profile to the wall, its single arm rising in a clean vertical line topped by a soft fabric shade. The stepped, streamlined silhouette nods to Art Deco design without tipping into pastiche, while the black stem gives the piece a graphic backbone that grounds the warmer tone above it.

Aged Old Bronze finish

Here the frame is finished in a warm, aged old bronze that reads as quietly antiqued rather than shiny, with the black stem adding just enough contrast to keep the design feeling considered rather than uniform. It settles comfortably into warmer, traditional schemes just as easily as pared back, modern ones.

How it works

Denise takes a single E14 candelabra bulb rated up to 40W (bulb not included), housed beneath a white linen shade measuring 12cm across the top and bottom and 16cm in height. The fitting stands 52cm tall, projects 13cm out from the wall, and measures around 12cm at its widest point, with a rectangular backplate of roughly 10cm by 13cm.

Where it works best

With its slim profile, Denise suits spaces where you want light and personality without bulk, a hallway run, either side of a mirror, or flanking a console table. Its compact scale also makes it useful on stairwells and landings, where floor space for table lamps is in short supply.

About Mitzi

Mitzi is a third generation family lighting business, built within Hudson Valley Lighting Group in New York's Hudson Valley. The name comes from the founder's grandmother Mitzi, a painter and antique collector said to have had a real talent for spotting a well priced find, and the collection carries that same instinct into its designs, aiming for distinctive lighting that doesn't come with a luxury price tag attached.

• Takes 1 x E14 candelabra bulb, maximum 40W, not included. Shade is white linen, and the fitting comes with a fabric covered flex around 18cm long.
• Moonlight Design recommends installation by a registered NICEIC electrician.
