Cecily's shade is a compact cylinder of clear glass, ribbed with vertical fluting and cut diagonally at each end instead of trimmed square. That single detail turns a simple glass tube into something with real shape, and it means the fixture throws a slightly irregular pattern of light rather than one even glow.

Polished Nickel finish

The Polished Nickel finish gives the frame a bright, cool, almost mirror like surface, a contrast to the warmer brass and bronze options in the same collection. It suits contemporary spaces, sits well against chrome and glass, and tends to look crisp and clean rather than aged.

How it works

This Small size version stands 17.25 inches tall, fitted to a 4.75 inch round backplate with a 3.5 inch projection from the wall. It takes two E26 bulbs, each up to 60 watts and sold separately, and can be fitted vertically or rotated to sit horizontally depending on the layout of the room. The fixture is ADA compliant.

Where it works best

Its smaller footprint makes it a natural fit for spaces with less room to spare: a narrow hallway, either side of a mirror in a smaller bedroom, along a stairwell, or anywhere a lower ceiling makes the Large version impractical. Because Polished Nickel is such a clean, reflective finish, it also works well in newer builds with a more pared back, contemporary look.

About Mitzi

Mitzi was founded as a family lighting business in New York's Hudson Valley and is now run by its third generation. Its name comes from the founder's grandmother, a painter and enthusiastic collector of antiques who always managed to find something interesting without paying over the odds for it. The collection is built around that same idea, that lighting with genuine character shouldn't have to come with a luxury price tag.
