Where curves meet contrast
The Aly wall light pairs a single glowing globe with a bracket that curls upward like a question mark, holding a round opal shade just off the wall. A slim black band wraps the shade's middle and a warm brass cap finishes its underside, so the fixture reads as three materials working together rather than one flat finish. It's a small, sculptural gesture for a hallway, stairwell or bedside wall.
Aged brass and black finish
The bracket and shade band are cast in black, giving the piece a firm, graphic outline, while the brass has been treated to an aged finish that already carries a soft, worn warmth rather than a showroom shine. Together they sit comfortably against dark paint, exposed brick or pale plaster, and pair naturally with warm oak or walnut furniture nearby.
How it works
Aly takes a single E27 globe bulb (G25 shape) up to 60W, housed inside the opal glass sphere so the light itself is diffused rather than glaring. The fixture stands 44.5cm tall, extends 22.9cm out from the wall and sits on a round backplate of around 12cm, making it easy to fit beside a mirror, doorway or headboard without overwhelming the wall.
Where it works best
Its single soft globe suits spots calling for gentle, ambient light rather than a strong task beam, a pair flanking a bedroom mirror, one either side of a front door, or spaced along a hallway or staircase wall. Because it only extends a little over 20cm from the wall, it also works well in narrower spots like a landing or beside a reading chair.
