Choosing This Finish

This is the black and black marble version of Nora, sitting alongside a white and wood edition with clear glass, and a gold and white version with a paler marble base. Of the three, this black and marble finish is the most graphic, working well against pale walls where it can stand out, or alongside dark woodwork and black ironmongery for a more tonal look.

How It Works

Nora takes a single E27 bulb rated up to 20W, such as a GLS or tubular LED lamp, and the bulb is not supplied so you can choose the tone and brightness yourself. A frosted inner glass section sits inside the chrome tinted outer shade, diffusing the light source into a soft column of glow rather than a visible bulb. It is Class I, so it must be wired to earth, and rated IP20 for dry indoor rooms only.

Where It Works Best

At 35.7cm tall with an 18cm wide shade and a 23cm projection from the wall, this finish suits a hallway, a living room reading corner, or either side of a dark framed mirror. Where the white and wood version in this range leans toward a natural, pale scheme, the black and marble finish is better suited to a room already built around darker tones or black fittings.
