Choosing the Wood Finish

This 90cm version comes in a wood effect finish with warm brown and bronze tones running through the band, distinct from the white, black or gold versions in the wider Niseko II range. The grain pattern is consistent all the way round the ring, so however you angle the fitting in the room, the finish reads the same. It suits schemes built around natural materials, oak flooring, rattan, linen, where a metal ring would feel too cold or too formal.

How It Works

Niseko II uses a single integrated 66W LED engine rated at 5440 lumens, with a colour rendering index above 80, so colours in the room stay reasonably true under its light. The colour temperature is tuneable from a warm 2700K through to a cool 5000K using the included remote control, so the same fitting can shift from a relaxed evening glow to a brighter, more neutral light for tasks. It is a Class I fitting with an IP20 rating, wired for dry indoor use, and the cable allows the ring to be hung anywhere between 50cm and 200cm below the ceiling.

Where It Works Best

At 90cm across, this is the largest ring in the Niseko II range, so it works best where there is enough space for the eye to appreciate a full circle, over a large dining table, in a double height hallway, or centred above a bed in a bedroom with generous ceiling height. Because the light comes from an integrated LED rather than a swap in bulb, it is a fit and forget fitting once installed, better suited to a considered, longer term lighting scheme than to a spot you plan to change frequently.
