A single continuous ring, finished in gold, glows from within thanks to a diffused LED band built into the metal frame. Niseko II is built around that halo effect, using the ring itself as the light source, and this 90cm size is large enough to work as a genuine room centrepiece rather than a supporting fitting.

Choosing This Finish

This is the gold finish version of Niseko II, with a champagne toned metal ring, an integrated LED, and a slightly diffused edge for a soft rather than a hard edged halo. The Niseko range is also available in white, black and wood effect finishes across its various sizes, so if you are lighting more than one room, it is worth checking whether another finish suits a different space while keeping the same silhouette.

How It Works

The 66W integrated LED sits inside the ring and cannot be swapped out for a separate bulb, which is the trade off for the slim profile and even light band it produces, rated at 5440 lumens with a colour rendering index above 80 for reasonably accurate colours underneath it. Colour temperature is tuneable from a warm 2700K through to a cooler 5000K using the supplied remote control, so the same fitting can shift from relaxed evening lighting to a brighter daytime setting. Wiring is Class I, and the suspension cables allow the drop to be set anywhere between roughly 50cm and 200cm from the ceiling.

Where It Works Best

At 90cm across, this is a fitting for a room with the ceiling height and floor space to let it breathe, a living room seating area, over a dining table with room to spare on all sides, or a double height hallway or stairwell where a smaller pendant would look lost. The tuneable white output also makes it a reasonable single fitting for a bedroom, since it can be turned down to a warmer, dimmer tone at night without needing a second lamp.
