Why Black

This version comes in a matte black finish that reads more like a design object than a plain utility fitting, especially against a white or pale ceiling. How It Works

A single 30W LED is built into the fitting and diffused evenly around the inside of the black metal ring, producing 2250 lumens with a CRI above 80 for reasonably accurate colour rendering. Colour temperature is tuneable from 2700K through to 5000K using the remote control supplied with the light, so you can shift between a relaxed warm glow and a brighter, cooler white depending on the time of day. Because the built in driver already handles dimming and colour temperature, there is no need to fit a separate wall dimmer.

Where It Works Best

At 38cm across, this is the smallest ring in the Niseko II range, which makes it a natural fit for bedrooms, hallways, landings or smaller box rooms where a larger flush fitting would dominate the ceiling. It also suits use as a secondary light in a living or dining room alongside floor or table lamps, rather than as the sole source of light in a larger open plan space, where the 50cm or 78cm versions in the same range give a more even spread.

Questions People Ask

Does the colour temperature stay where I last set it, or does it reset?
The tuneable white setting you choose with the remote control is retained by the fitting, so it comes back on at the same colour temperature next time rather than resetting to a default.

Can I fit this on a standard wall dimmer switch?
No. Brightness and colour temperature are both controlled through the light's own remote and internal driver, so it should be wired to a standard switched supply rather than a dimmer switch.

Do I need to buy a separate bulb for this fitting?
No. The LED engine is integrated into the fitting itself and is not a replaceable bulb, so there is nothing separate to source. It is operated only through the supplied remote control.
