Not every ceiling light needs a bold plan hovering over the room. Eve's polished chrome version takes the same sweeping arm and broad oval shade as the rest of the range and simply changes the metal from matte anthracite to a bright mirror finish, so the arm catches the light rather than absorbing it.

Choosing Polished Chrome

Here the curved arm is finished in polished chrome and paired with an oval shade in black, made from a textured fabric with a clear inner lining that softens the glow underneath. If chrome feels too bright against your walls, or you would rather have a shade that lifts the room instead of grounding it, Mantra also makes Eve in a bespoke anthracite frame with a choice of black or white shade.

How It Works

Two E27 bulbs power this fitting, each rated up to 20W (bulbs are not included), giving you flexibility over both warmth and brightness. The chrome arm is Class I wired, so it must be properly earthed during installation, and it fixes to a small ceiling plate that keeps the whole fitting semi flush rather than pendant hung. As with the rest of the Eve range, a little simple assembly is needed once it is unboxed.

Where It Works Best

Mantra positions Eve for bedrooms and dining rooms, and the polished chrome finish tends to suit brighter, more reflective schemes, sitting well against pale walls, glass and mirrored furniture. The oval shade drops to roughly 43.5cm below the ceiling, close enough to feel considered above a dining table without eating into headroom the way a longer pendant would.
