This 48cm Centara carries the same polished chrome ring and glittering diffuser as its smaller sibling, just with more coverage overhead. Where the 38cm version suits a hallway or landing, this larger disc is built to hold its own over a dining table, a kitchen island or a larger bedroom ceiling.

Finished In Polished Chrome

Centara's polished chrome ring and acrylic diffuser panel are designed to work together, the mirror bright metal frames the light while the acrylic scatters it into thousands of tiny points rather than one flat glow. It is a finish that reads as considerably more expensive than a plain flush disc, without the cost or weight of real crystal or cut glass.

How It Works

A 40W integrated LED delivers roughly 3200 lumens (plus or minus 5%) at a CRI of 80, enough to serve as a main room light rather than a supplementary one. The colour temperature is tuneable through the included remote control, moving between 3000K, 4000K, 5000K and 6500K so the same fitting can run warm in the evening and cool and bright during the day, plus the remote adjusts brightness and turns the light on and off. It is wired to Class II, so no earth connection is required, and it carries an IP20 rating for dry indoor ceilings. The fitting itself is 48cm in diameter and projects 5cm from the ceiling.

Where It Works Best

At 48cm, Centara is sized for kitchens, dining rooms, bedrooms and hallways where a wider spread of light is useful, over a kitchen island or dining table are both natural fits. If your ceiling or room is more modest, Mantra also makes this same design at 38cm, which suits smaller spaces without losing the sparkle effect.

Can I change the colour temperature of this light?
