Centara pairs a slim polished chrome ring with a diffuser designed to scatter light like tiny points of glitter, rather than the flat glow of a plain acrylic panel. At 38cm across it reads as a neat, jewellery like disc on the ceiling rather than a full blown statement piece, which makes it an easy fit for rooms where something larger would dominate.

This Centara comes in a bright polished chrome, a finish that bounces ambient light back into the room rather than absorbing it, so the ring itself catches the eye even before the LED is switched on. The high shine surface sits comfortably against white, grey or darker ceilings, and pairs naturally with chrome taps, handles or radiators already in the room.

How It Works

The light source is a sealed integrated LED, so there is no separate bulb to source or replace over the fitting's life. It measures 38cm in diameter and projects just 5cm from the ceiling, close enough to sit flush rather than semi flush. A handheld remote control is included, its four buttons let you switch the light on and off, raise or lower the brightness, and shift the tone between a cooler and a warmer white without needing a dimmer switch already wired into the room. It carries an IP20 rating, so it is built for dry indoor ceilings.

Where It Works Best

Its 38cm diameter makes Centara a natural fit for hallways, landings and smaller bedrooms, spaces where a larger fitting would crowd the ceiling visually. It also works well as one of several fittings spaced through an open plan kitchen or living area, rather than relying on a single large centrepiece overhead. Mantra has been designing lighting from Valencia, Spain since 2000, building its name on fittings that look considerably more expensive than they are. The company now distributes across Europe, the Americas, the Middle East and Southeast Asia, a footprint built over more than two decades of continuous trading rather than assembled overnight for an online launch.
