Cayman is really two fittings in one. A slim, angled LED arm throws a focused 3W beam exactly where you need it, while a second 6W LED strip glows quietly around the inside edge of the backplate for gentle ambient wash. Switch them independently and you can read in a pool of light while the rest of the room stays soft, or turn both on for a proper bedside glow.

How It Works

The reading arm carries a 3W integrated LED with a narrow 30 degree beam, while the ring around the backplate uses a 6W LED spread across roughly 120 degrees for wider, softer coverage. Both run at a warm 3000K colour temperature with a CRI of 80, and combined output is rated at 620lm (plus or minus 5%). Two separate rocker switches on the face of the backplate let you control the spot and the ambient ring independently. It is a Class II fitting, so no earth connection is required.

Can I use just the reading arm without the background light on?
Yes. The arm and the ring around the backplate are wired to separate rocker switches, so you can run either one on its own or both together.

Is the LED replaceable if it eventually fails?
The LED is integrated into the fitting rather than a separate bulb you can swap out. It carries a 3 year warranty, and Mantra's LEDs are rated for a long working life under normal domestic use.

Can this go in a bathroom?
