A Small Copper Recessed Wash Light with Two Facets

The LuxR Modux 4 Square Light Wash with 2 Facets is a small low voltage recessed feature light. It gives a narrow, decorative band of light starting 5º below the flange lip. This is the 2 facet version: a facet is the opening that the light is emitted from, so this one has two openings. For the exact light distribution, please check the product spec sheet or contact us. Copper That Gains a Natural Patina

This version is precision machined from copper. It starts out warm and bright, then develops a natural patina outdoors, so the square flange gradually settles into the wall or pillar around it. The light source is a replaceable 4 watt Cree LED with a CRI of 90 plus.

Choose Your Colour Temperature

• Colour temperature: 2200K is a very warm glow, 2700K and 3000K are warm white, and 4000K is a crisper neutral white.

How It Works

The body is set into a cut-out of 43.5mm, with the square flange sitting at the surface. The fitting runs on low voltage, so it needs a suitable constant current driver, which is not included, and it is wired in series. It is dimmable when paired with a suitable dimmable driver. A 1m cable is supplied. The LED can be replaced or swapped for a colour LED, and the optic can be changed to alter the beam width.

Moonlight Design recommends that all lighting should be installed by a registered NICEIC electrician.

Where It Works Best

Use it to light the wall beside step treads, the treads themselves, the space above a doorway, or as a path wayfinder. It is also available in the larger M2.

Will the copper change colour?

Yes. Copper develops a natural patina outdoors over time, so the finish will soften and darken gradually. This is normal.
