A Stainless Steel Square Light Wash with One Facet
The LuxR Modux 2 Square Light Wash is a very small low voltage feature light that casts a narrow decorative band of light 5º below the flange lip. This is the 1 facet version: a facet is the opening that the light is emitted from, so this one has a single opening. For the exact light distribution, please check the product spec sheet or contact us. The recessed body is 41mm across and 62mm long, with a square flange.
Marine Grade 316 Stainless Steel
This version is precision machined in marine grade 316 stainless steel. The flange has a clean, bright metal look that suits modern steps, rendered walls and stone cladding. The light source is a 2 watt Cree LED.
Choose Your Colour Temperature
- Colour temperature: 2200K is a very warm glow, 2700K and 3000K are warm white, and 4000K is a crisper neutral white that pairs well with the cool tone of stainless steel.
How It Works
The light is recessed into a wall, step riser or other surface using a 43.5mm cut out. The fitting runs on low voltage, so it needs a suitable constant current driver, which is not included, and it is wired in series. It is dimmable when paired with a suitable dimmable driver. A 1m cable is supplied. The LED can be replaced or swapped for a colour LED, and the optic can be changed to alter the beam width.
Moonlight Design recommends that all lighting should be installed by a registered NICEIC electrician.
Where It Works Best
Use it to light the wall beside step treads, the treads themselves, the space above a doorway, or as a path wayfinder. Moonlight Design uses LuxR fittings in its own garden lighting designs and installations. It is also available in M4.
