Three Spotlights, One Solar Panel, No Wiring to the House

The Solspike kit gives you three separate solar spotlights run from a single shared panel, so you can light up several plants or garden features at once without running mains cable to any of them.

Choosing how to mount each spotlight

Each of the three spotlights sits on an adjustable U bracket with a sturdy four fin ground spike, so it can be pushed straight into a lawn or border, or fixed to a hard surface if you'd rather not spike it into the ground. The bracket lets you aim each light independently once it's in place.

How it works

A single 6V 8W polycrystalline solar panel, connected by a 2m cable and positioned separately from the lights, charges two 3.7V 4AH lithium ion phosphate (18650) batteries rated for around 300 charge cycles. Fully charged, the set stores enough power to run for up to 3 nights, depending on how you use it. Each die cast aluminium spotlight houses a 7W COB LED producing up to 630 lumens (80 lumens per watt) of warm white light between 2700K and 3000K, and connects back to the panel on its own 2m cable. A remote control handles switching, timers and dimming. The whole set, lights and panel, is rated IP67.

Where it works best

Because each spotlight runs on its own cable and spike, the set suits spreading light across a border to uplight several shrubs or small trees at once, rather than as a single fixed feature light. The solar panel needs a clear view of the sky to charge properly, so it's worth positioning it away from overhangs or heavy shade.
