A flexible post that takes whichever bulb you like

The Smartpost is a 600mm bollard built around a frosted diffuser and a standard E27 bulb holder, so rather than being locked into one light output, you choose the lamp that suits the space, from a soft candle style glow to a brighter general purpose LED.

Choosing your finish and bulb

This listing is finished in cocoa, alongside matte black and titanium options offered elsewhere in the Smartpost range. You can also choose whether a bulb is included, opting for a 9W warm white or 9W daylight white photocell bulb that switches the light on automatically at dusk, or selecting the option with no bulb if you already have an E27 lamp you would rather use.

How it works

The post takes a single E27 bulb, either a Candle LED for a softer glow or a higher output GLS LED for a brighter result, and either bulb is sold separately unless you have chosen one of the photocell bulb options above. It mounts using a 5mm thick surface plate for patios and decking, or the supplied 400mm aluminium ground spike for planted borders. It runs directly from the mains with no separate driver required.

Where it works best

Its frosted diffuser gives an even, glare free light that suits pathways, patios and decking edges, and because the mounting can be swapped between surface plate and ground spike, it adapts to hard landscaping as easily as borders. Matching AlvaLED spike lights are available in the same finishes if you want a coordinated look across a garden.
