Rustic Bronze Light, Natural Pine Post
The Radiata brings together a solid brass light head, finished in a warm rustic bronze, and a naturally sourced pine post, giving a garden path light that feels handmade rather than mass produced metalwork.
Choosing your height
The Radiata post comes in two above ground heights, 0.5m to 0.6m or 0.8m to 0.9m, both with a further 0.3m to 0.4m sunk below ground for stability. Pick the shorter post for low, subtle path marking, or the taller option where you want the light to be more visible along a longer border.
How it works
The head uses a Slatlite louvred light fitted for a single G9 LED bulb, sold separately, up to 30W. The post itself is sustainably sourced Radiata pine, pressure treated with Tanalith E preservative to BS8417 Use Class 4 standards, and fully sanded for a smooth finish. It's rated IP54, runs on a 230 to 240V mains supply wired in parallel, and needs no separate driver.
Where it works best
Because the pine post is a natural material, it's best installed between October and March, avoiding the rapid drying that intense summer sun can cause. It also shouldn't be set into waterlogged ground, which can affect the timber over time. Once in, it suits informal borders and cottage style gardens where a uniform, factory finished post would look out of place.
