Litecharga: One Bollard, Two Light Colours, No Cable Required

Litecharga looks every bit like a standard mains commercial bollard, but there's no cable to run: a built in switch lets you flip between two light colours on the same fitting, and the whole thing runs on stored solar power.

Choosing how it's fixed in place

As standard, Litecharga fixes via a mounting flange that sits completely concealed inside the bollard for a clean, streamlined look. If you'd prefer extra stability, the Root Mount J-Bolts Kit sets the bollard into wet concrete instead, or choose the Ground Spike Kit for a simple push in fixing that suits softer ground such as lawns and borders.

How it works

A built in switch lets you choose between 3000K warm white and 6000K daylight white light, both delivering around 210 lumens from 1.8W of draw. A 3.5W monocrystalline solar panel, rated for around 25 years of use, keeps a replaceable 3.2V 12Ah LiFePO4 battery topped up, giving up to 23 hours of runtime on a full charge. From dusk, Litecharga runs at full brightness before stepping down gradually to 30% output overnight to stretch that charge further, spreading light through a frosted white polycarbonate lens across a 120 degree beam.

Where it works best

Because it mimics the look of a mains bollard while running entirely on solar power, Litecharga suits driveways and commercial style paths where you want a conventional appearance without the cost of trenching in a cable, and the choice of mounting kit means it can go into concrete, soft ground or an existing hard surface.
