An antiqued brass finish built for years outdoors

The solid brass version of the Hilospot gives the same twin beam, up and down spotlight effect as the natural copper model, but in a rustic bronze finish that already carries an aged, antique look rather than developing one over time. Every fixing, including the housing screws, is solid brass, so there is nothing on the outside to corrode or discolour unevenly.

Choosing your finish

This listing comes in a solid brass, rustic bronze finish, sometimes described as antique brass, giving a darker, more traditional look than a bright polished metal. If you would prefer the warmer, reddish tone of natural copper instead, the Hilospot is also sold in that finish as a separate listing.

How it works

Each fitting takes 2 x GU10 lamps rated at 240V, not supplied, so you can choose your own beam angle and colour temperature. LED lamps are recommended for this fixture. Wiring runs in parallel and the fitting connects straight to the mains with no separate driver required. Dichroic coloured lenses can also be fitted if you want a tinted accent rather than plain white light.

Where it works best

The twin up and down beam suits gate piers, porch columns and flat wall sections either side of an entrance, where a symmetrical pair of beams reads better than a single spotlight. Rated IP65, it is built to be left outdoors permanently in wet weather.
