The Cresta pairs a built in motion sensor with solar power, so it can sit above a porch or side gate lighting the way home without a single cable being run to it. A photoreceptor keeps it dormant during the day and switches it on once darkness falls.

Choosing your finish

The Cresta is offered in one black die cast aluminium housing, with the choice coming down to the colour of light it casts, a warmer 2700K or a crisper 6000K daylight white.

How it works

Once the light sensor detects dusk, the Cresta holds a low level glow and switches to full brightness the moment its PIR sensor picks up movement within range, before dropping back down after a short delay. A constant on mode is also available for those who prefer steady, all night illumination instead of motion triggered bursts. Output comes from an integrated SMD2835 LED array delivering up to 1200 lumens at full brightness, powered by a 5W monocrystalline solar panel and charged through the day.

Porches, front doors and side passages are the natural home for the Cresta, anywhere a motion triggered light adds a sense of security without the cost of running mains cable to an awkward spot.

Do I need to wire this into my house electrics?
No. The Cresta is entirely solar powered, so it only needs a solid wall to fix the bracket to, no mains connection is required.

Will it turn on fully every time something moves nearby?
In PIR mode it will brighten to full output when motion is detected, then dim back down after a short period if nothing further is detected, this keeps it responsive as a security light while conserving battery charge overnight.

Can I choose whether it uses the motion sensor or stays on all night?
Yes, the Cresta can be set to constant on for steady low level lighting throughout the night, or to PIR mode where it brightens only when movement is detected.
