A light that switches itself on

The Cresta is a solar path light that watches the path so you do not have to think about it. Motion triggers a bright boost of light, then it settles back to a gentle glow, all powered by the sun with nothing to wire in.

Choosing your light colour

Cresta comes in one black finish, with the choice sitting in the light itself. Warm White 2700K gives a soft, amber cast that suits traditional gardens and period brickwork, while Daylight White 6000K gives a crisper, whiter light that reads well against modern paving and render.

How it works

A built in PIR sensor and light sensor work together so Cresta only lights up when it is dark and something is moving nearby. In PIR mode it holds a low level glow of 300lm and jumps to 1200lm when motion is detected, dropping back once the path is clear. If you would rather have constant illumination, Constant On mode keeps the LED at a steady 400lm all night with no sensor switching. Light is thrown across a 120 degree spread from an integrated LED behind a polycarbonate lens, and there is no bulb to change. Power comes from a 4.5W monocrystalline solar panel charging a 3.2V 8000mAh LiFePO4 battery, good for over 50 hours of light once fully charged.

Where it works best

At 0.8m tall, Cresta suits narrow side passages, tight borders and steps where a taller post would feel out of scale. It is equally at home marking a driveway edge or a run of stepping stones, and because it only lights up when needed, it works well anywhere you want security without leaving a light burning all night.

Does it need any wiring or a power supply?
No, Cresta is fully solar powered and self contained, so it simply needs to be surface mounted somewhere it can catch daylight.

What is the difference between the two modes?
PIR mode keeps the light dim until it senses movement, then brightens automatically, which is ideal for saving power. Constant On mode instead gives you a steady glow all night with no sensor switching.

Will it still work on a cloudy day?
The LiFePO4 battery stores charge across sunny spells so it can keep running through shorter overcast periods, though consistent direct sun gives the longest run time each night.
