Choosing Your Beam Angle

This Black finish spike light is available with a 10 degree beam for a tight, dramatic shaft of light up a tall tree or column, or a 38 degree beam for a wider wash across a facade or planted bed. Both use the same 10W warm white (3000K) CREE LED and the same fitting, so the decision comes down to how tightly you want the light focused.

How It Works

A 10W CREE 1507 LED delivers around 1200 lumens of warm white (3000K) light, run through a tempered glass lens and a matte black powder coated aluminium housing. There is no separate driver to install as it connects directly to mains power, and the wiring is parallel so multiple spike lights can share one circuit. The head adjusts through around 180 degrees on its U shaped bracket, which can be ground spiked or surface mounted.

Where It Works Best

Use the 10 degree beam to uplight a single specimen tree, obelisk or column where you want a focused shaft of light, or choose the 38 degree beam for spreading light across a wider planted bed, hedge or building facade. It shares its core electronics with the smaller 6W AlvaLED range but steps up the output for taller or more substantial features that need more punch.
